Stout SJ is a collaborative effort between Danish knife designer Mikkel Willumsen and SOG founder Spencer Frazer. Featuring a clip point stonewashed CRYO D2 steel blade, stainless steel frame, and rugged G10 handle. This everyday carry all-star is designed to be safe and offers an effortless and smooth opening and closing action, with a strong and confident open position.

A bold carry option that conforms with most global laws

With a sub-3-inch blade and two-handed opening slip joint, Stout SJ has a travel-friendly and universal knife law-compliant design that adheres with the laws in the majority of cities, states, and countries where one-handed opening or locking knives are banned.

Proven design

Building on the success of the Stout FLK, the SJ features a SOG-sharp CRYO D2 steel blade with a tough TiNi coating, grippy G10 handles, and a slip joint mechanism that is designed to be safe and effortless to carry. The ambidextrous clip can be mounted on either side of the body.

Slip joint

Equipped with an elegant slip joint mechanism that holds the blade open with a spring and is closed manually once the spring force is overcome. Smooth opening and closing with a confident open position.

CRYO D2 steel

Versatile high-carbon tool steel that is cryogenically heat-treated to SOGā€™s unique performance specifications. D2 provides the ideal combination of edge retention and durability for long-term use.
